insurance certificates and CHCC brides....

you may all already know this and wonder how i was so clueless but in case you are not aware...all of your outside vendors need to send chcc a copy of their insurance certificates (unless you are using a house vendor).

This is stated in fine print on your contract...but some of you dont read it or in my case i never got a copy of my contract (my father took it and never read it!). anyway, with 6 weeks left chcc told me they needed them so i am contacting my vendors and am dealing with the vendors telling me they faxed it friday and chcc telling me as of yesterday they have not received them

maybe start asking vendors for them as you book and you hold the copy so you can give it to chcc in person and not deal with last minute stress like i am

I had my vendors send me their certificates, and then I gave them to our hall. Only our florist faxed it directly. Maybe you can see if you can do this to help alleviate headaches.

I am surprised to hear this. The last thing a bride needs to stress about is a vendors Ins cert. It is a vendors responsiblity to contact the reception hall and work out the details for the job they are doing which includes ins. cert. Having to do this myself would totally piss me off...
