Has anyone ever heard of getting insurance for a winter wedding? A few people have suggested this to me because I am a Feb. bride. I have no idea how to go about doing it. Is it a good idea? Has anyone ever done it?

Re: insurance for winter weddings
nope....insurance is not meant for winter weddings. Its meant for couples who don't go through with their weddign b/c their relationship didn't work. Don't bother with insurance. Everyone will be there. If they love you and need to be there.....they'll find a way no matter what the weather.

Yes I have heard of this. My friend got married Dec 7th 2003 (I think) and there was a major snow storm. SHe wished she had taken out insurance.

Re: insurance for winter weddings
well, this is a super old thread
BUT for any winter brides still interested - i am going to get wedsafe- for about $300 you can get covered for everything from the hall to all your vendors, even special jewelry
the insurance not only covers weather issues but if one important person cannot attend and the wedding has to be canceled ( not just the bride or groom also the parents or children of the couple etc)
i had nightmares for the first few months about snow - after i decided i was going to get insurance the nightmares stopped! i am going to wait until january to get it though . . .
