Hi!.... I am Jewish and my FH is Catholic, so we are having an interfaith ceremony. For you out there who have gotten married or will be, is your FH going to break the glass even if he is not Jewish? Or does the Rabbi do it? Thanks!

we did - but we only had the rabbi there - but you can still do all the Jewish traditions in an interfaith wedding!

I am Jewish, my DH is not, but we had an entirely Jewish ceremony. DH broke the glass. I know of other weddings where non-Jewish grooms broke the glass as well. If he's comfortable with it, he should do it. Or you could do it together, which is becoming more common.

I am Jewish and my FH is Catholic. We are both non-practicing in our religions, but I wanted to have a Jewish Ceremony with a Rabbi. We are having just a Rabbi and my FH will be breaking the glass.
It is whatever you are both comfortable with, there is not right or wrong answer.

I'm in the same position as you. He is going to break the glass.
We are just choosing whichever traditions are most important to us, and doing those. The glass breaking, to me, can be such a beautiful symbol - I know there's the whole thing about the temple in Jeruselum and whatever, but the first time I had it explained to me, I was told that we break the glass to show that this love will last for as long as it takes to put the glass back together exactly the way it was before.
I don't know where that came from, but I think it's beautiful, and want to reflect it at my wedding.

I'm Catholic and he is Jewish and we did these same 2 ceremonies as well as the wine ceremony which supposedly is done by both religions.

this is what we did. we had an interfaith minister. she explained a little bit about breaking the glass and said that for those of our guests not familar with the tradition it is customary to shout 'mazel tov' afterwards. It was great!
