Interfaith couples..Please help!!!

Hi, I was wondering if any of you who are marrying someone of a different religion know who will be your officiant. We are uncertain if we want a rabbi/priest combo. I don't know where to look for this--any suggestions of what you are doing or already have done. TIA!!!!

DH is Jewish... non-religious
Me, Catholic... twelve years of Catholic school but I always say I'm a 'recovering Catholic'

This is a bit different take on it...

We actually think very much alike on spirituality but don't like the exclusivity of the earth centered dogma... dietary rules, etc. of either of our religions. Neither one of us practices in a synagoge or a church so we thought it wouldn't be right, nor would we want a priest and/or rabbi officiating.

We attend the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington. We wanted a spiritual home for our future family and a religious education for our children that included all faiths.

Our minister Rev. Paul Ratzlaff married us. When we decided on him both he and us were very knew to the fellowship and were only there for two weeks.

He is great. We went to three 'counseling session' where we talked about martial and life issues and then we wrote our entire ceremony. He was very open to including whatever we wanted.

OUr guests loved our ceremony (and we have several members of both families who are very religious). I think he even won over my aunt who goes to mass daily.

we used april from the church of ancient ways - she wrote a belnded ceremony that had lots of parts of different things we wanted to incorporate.

we loved that we could write our own ceremony and add the elements we liked from all religions
