Interfaith,BAPTIST????

I am catholic and my FH is Baptist. We plan on getting married in his church.Does anyone know if there is anything I might need to do? FH thinks as long as 1 of us is Baptist we don't have to worry.???

I come from a Pentecostal background ( similar to Baptist)... But I'm pretty sure he is right ....only one of you must be a Baptist and you may have to assist pastoral counseling (similar to Catholic's Pre Cana) but it really depends on how liberal his church is.

Do you care if the marriage is recognized by your church? If you do, then you need to obtain a dispensation from the Catholic Church in order to get married in a different church but still have the marriage seen as valid by your church. This process can be started by going to speak with your priest.
