Our next home project is to replace all of the old, hollow core interior doors that the previous owner installed.
I don't like the look or feel of the hollow core composite doors. We'd prefer solid core or frame and panel solid wood, probably with 6 raised panels...but they're pretty expensive.
What kind of interior doors do you have?
Any other suggestions on where to shop for them (besides Home Depot)? Since we're also replacing the molding, we'd prefer pre-hung doors.
Thanks

Re: Interior doors
WE have the 6 panel doors and they are really nice and we put Fluted molding with rosettes on the corners!

Re: Interior doors
I am working on this same project right now. We have someone who is doing this for us and he recommended Jeld Wen doors. DH said they are both on home Depot and Lowes websites. I have not looked into it too much so don't know too much myself yet. But we hope to get this done this month (March). We are going to Home Depot this weekend to see what they have. On all my rooms upstairs we want some kind of six panel door. We are replacing the doors to the closets in the master with mostly likely some kind of bi-fold doors because of the shape of the room we want to have more space and less room wasted by the opening of closet doors.

Re: Interior doors
We have the solid wood 6 panel doors. Luckily the previous owner had them installed.

Re: Interior doors
I'd like to do this as well. We are just going to replace the door not the whole frame and all - think that's ok?

If it's in good shape, then yes.. That's what we're doing.

I think that would be fine too as long as the frame is strong enough to hold the new door. I know I had my front door replaced and they didn't expect it but they had to replace a lot more than they expected because the new door was so much heavier than the old one and the old frame would not support it.

Re: Interior doors
Thanks for all of the replies! We're off to shop this weekend.
Niecey, thanks for the Jeld Wen recommend. There are lots of places in my neighborhood that carry them.
