Just curious if the airports there are as annoying as here! How early do I need to get to the airport before our flights?

The airports in Maui and Kuai are tiny... I would get there at least an hour before your flights. just to be on the safe side.

We got there more than an hour before and they stamped 'late check in' on our boarding passes. That is because the line to check in was so slow.....

Also, so you all know...they open and hand check every bag that you are checking in. you also have to take your shoes off at every airport now. They have lowered the weight on checked bags from 70 pounds, down to 50 pounds... so if it's over even by 5 pounds they will charge you a $25 fee. Just wanted to give you all a heads up on this. I wish i would have known all this before we went! Have a great time!
