We have a few guests we're inviting who live outside the USA (Canada and England specifically). I but was curious if any of you also are sending invitations out of the U.S. My questions is -- do we need to make sure to use Canadian and English stamps on the return envelopes 9haven't checked yet, so I figured I'd put it out there to you all)? If so, can you buy them at the post office here? My dad seemed to think we had to ask our guests to mail us the international stamps to put on there (sounds crazy!), but a U.S. Post office or some outlet in the city must sell them, right? This IS New York City, after all!!!

Re: INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS (POSTAGE)
We will be sending invitations to Greece and Italy. When you send international mail, you use stamps for air mail. The post office has them.. just let them know where you need to send it too and they will tell what you'll need and how much it will cost.
I just re-read your post... I don't think our family will be mailing the R.S.V.P'S back to us. It would just tak etoo long. We know most won't come and for those that will, they will confirm with us in advance over the phone. Sorry.. not much help.

Re: INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS (POSTAGE)
I just sent one (yesterday) international invitation and I wasn't sure of what to do either. I just sent the response envelope with no stamp... I would think they would have to put their stamp on it.

Re: INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS (POSTAGE)
It sounds like your father is talking about the RSVP stamp. US Postage will get your invites to England & Canada. But don't stamp the RSVP envelopes. Your guests willl use their local stamps.

We didn't put stamps on the response envelopes to England, Italy and Switzerland. But I think I remember my friend ordering ones for Canada online somewhere???

Re: INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS (POSTAGE)
Isent out 13 overseas invitations last week with no stamp on the return envelope. I figured they had to put their own stamp on it to send it back. I am not sure though.

Re: INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONS (POSTAGE)
I didn't put stamps on the RSVP cards on the invites to Israel - they will prob not even send the RSVP cards back - but if they do - they'll just put a local airmail stamp on.
