Ok so in 2 hours (2:30pm) I have my Hofstra Grad School interview. I am sooo nervous!! I am sitting here at work getting all scared and having knots in my stomach. I am being interviewed for the Early Childhood/Special Education Masters program!!

I am always so calm when I go on job interviews what the he11 is wrong with me!!

oh any words of advice to calm me haha

Fh interviewed for Psychology Doctorate program at hofstra .. he did fine! they accepted him and only i think 13 other people!

YAH GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!

Well my interview was more like a meeting with an advisor--- I was in and out in like 15 minutes haha

The head of the special ed department just asked me why i wanted to become a special ed teacher, then told me what kind of courses i will be taking and pretty much told me they are sending out my admissions letter telling me i got in but i cant officially sign up for classes because i havent graduated yet! So in May when I graduate and get the proof I just bring it to Hofstra and the woman who will be my advisor will sign me off to sign up for the summer courses if i want!! YAH

I am soo excited- so I guess I can kinda say I am an official Hofstra Graduate Student haha= well lets hope financial aid goes through since I cant pay for how much it is going to cost me out of pocket hahaha!!!!!!!

I am going into the program Early Childhood/Special Ed...so getting a dual certification to teach gen and special like you have except only birth to 2 grade.

I love the little kiddies haha

um....I will graduate this May with a BA in Psych so I have to go into the inclusive program at hofstra because I dont have a certification so I have to take 48 credits instead of like 30 if i was certified

thats great!! you are going to love it!!

i was asking because i hear so many people geting their BA in el ed and then going for their masters in El ed.. and its such a waste of time... they are better off doing their masters in sp ed or reading.

yeah thats what my FSIL told me...that it is a waste of time and $ to go get your Masters in El ed if you have a bacholers. I would def not be getting my Masters in El ed if I already had it either! haha

But I know I am soo excited!! Thank you again!! I cant wait to start- I hope financial aid helps cause I cannot pay at all for this its almsot 800$ a credit and my parents said I am on my own for grad school haha
