Intro and Question (long)

Intro and Question (long)

Hi Ladies. I don't think I ever introduced myself on this board. I've posted a few times and I lurk alot. My name is Amy and I got engaged in August. I am planning my wedding for next Sept. I'm hoping for 9-8-7.

I need some help. We were planning to have the reception at my cousins fire house. I researched and visited so many halls but they were all way out of my price range and the room that they have is beautiful. But now he said that if we book it, it could be canceled in January when the new commissioner takes over and the policies change. I'm at a total loss, I feel like I'm starting all over again. When I walked into the FD I knew it was exactly what I was looking for and I was so happy.

Can anyone recommend a nice rental hall, preferably in Suffolk and not a KoC? We're expecting about 125-150 people.

Thanks.

]Depends on what you like and prefer ... I am getting married at the Hyatt. They have an amazing room they usually use for cocktail hours but we are using for reception. We are having a reception of 125-130 people. Most places will do so for that amount.

The Hyatt was the first place I checked out. I loved the Terrace Room (except for the columns in the room). But no one ever called me back with pricing on a buffet reception. The regular pricing was way too much for me. But it's so pretty there.
