Hi We have a maltese and we are thinking about getting a Standard Poodle. The maltesse is 1.5 years and the Standard Poodle is 8 months. Does anyone have any idea if they will get along?

Its really impossible to tell from what you said...are they males/females and spayed/neutored? The best way is to take both dogs to neutral territory and test it out. Keep both on leashes and let their behavior tell you if it works. Even if they get along at first be very careful around mealtimes, bedding spaces, favorite toys, etc.

i was just going to say the same thing. they must meet on nuetral territory. if they are both alphas it wont work, otherwise im sure tehy will love one another after alittle bit.
