Introduction Songs - What are you using?

Are you having a specific song or songs played when the bridal party is introduced into the reception? We are thinking about Beautiful Day by U2 but I haven't read the words yet.

Introduction Songs - What are you using?

My FH and I are a little wacky (to say the least). We are thinking of having something to suit our personalities. I am a school librarian, so we were thinking of Hot for Teacher by Van Halen. Or that song Shakin' that a** (you know the one that goes 'I see ya baby, shakin' that a**...). I know it's crazy - and most wouldn't do it - but we think it will really set the tone for an extrememly fun evening!!! :)

I was considering Enya's Only Time but the radio edit which I can't find anywhere.

We're having a 'personalized entrance' where each usher/bmaid couple comes out to a different song. We're using the following songs: Party up in here Oh what a night I'm too sexy We are family Born to be Wild and for us, Celebration by Cool and the Gang.

I love your idea marnles. Be different and have fun! My FI and are being introduced to our college fight song. GO GATORS! And then we are using a instrumental piece by Ray Charles for the rest of the party. It's a fun piece for people to get into the mood.

We are using the introduction of the Who song Baba O`Riley, also known as Teenage Wasteland. It`s the song used for American Beauty and some of the Nissan commercials. The drumming is fantastic!!! Beautiful Day by U2 is a great song to enter with.

linda, I believe it is called Mint Julep. I'll have to look at the CD again. It's very retro/cocktail party sounding. I really like it and it's long enough to introduce a large party. I'll check the CD and if that's not the song I'll post again tomorrow.

It's off of the Very Best of Ray Charles, called one mint julep. Thanks again for the suggestion, I hope you don't mind if we end up using it! :)

That is perfect for you then. Yes, I think the CD I have is also the Very Best of Ray Charles. It's a great CD. So glad that I could help out. I think it's different than the same ol' stuff the dj's give you.

for us, it's probably Van Halen's 'Why can't this be love'. A little quiet drumbeat (good for the mc announcement) and then music kicks in (and the doors open.....). No ideas yet for the bridal party.

Sorry about that!!

We are having our bridal party walk in to 'Spirit in the Sky'. It's in memory of our dear friend who passed away several years ago; we thought it would be a nice way to honor him, as he would have definitely been in the wedding party. Fi & I will come in to 'Theme from Odd Couple' as that is what everyone calls us. We're not telling anyone, even the wedding party, about 'Odd Couple' song; should be a great laugh.
