Is anyone doing this? I just met with an orthodontist this morning and want to start a course of this invisalign - which is similar to braces but its molds that you put on ur teeth - $$$6500??? that a little steep?

I was actually considering getting it too, but when I met with an orthodontist, he basically talked me out of it. He said that it is not 100% guaranteed, it is a lot more $$ than braces and the process is at least 3x longer.

I had invisalign for a few years actually. It definitely takes longer than braces and it's all about self discipline. But, I'll say I loved the end result! My teeth looked great (after 3 years!)
Problem is my teeth reverted so now I'm trying to wear them again... if you do go with invisalign, make sure you follow through and wear your casings even after you're done (say at nighttime for a long time).
I think I paid around $5000 but that was in 2002ish.

i have it now - love it - im on my second set of trays i have 9 total - i have to wear each set for 3 weeks and ill be done by labor day....my teeth are already moving in the beginning it was uncomfortable but now im used to having the trays and its not bad at all - just annoying taking them in and out to eat and brushing a million times a day....mine was $$$$ i think i got ripped off since i only need 9 trays but whatever i want perfect teeth so i can go like this

my fh started it a few months ago. we can already see his teeth shifting. if its in the budget, i say go for it

thanks girls - just have to convince the FH that its worth it - he's like 'i love u just the way you are' riiiight im sure he's thinking hes earning brownie points for saying that - but its not what i want to hear

Hi, I work at an orthodontic office in Suffolk county. I also went through treatment and I am so happy with my results. It works well only if you have minor movement. We charge around $5000 for treatment. You definately should do it.
