invit wording issue with drama!~help

Ok because i know you ladies will have a few suggestions here we go:

i want to incorporate my deceased father in the wording BUT my step - mother who i consider and call MOM was his 2nd wife not his last - they were married for 19 years he cheated they got a divorce - anyway - my step-mother is helping pay for the weddign she bought me my wedding dress - shes awesome so i want her name on it too - my biological mother & i never got along still dont so i dont want her name on my invit - shes also not contributing at all - she was going to but once she saw at the engagement party that my step mother is one of my maid of honors she backed out of paying for the flowers & the DJ - nice huh? Anyway how do i word this??? thanks in advance!

This is so tough!
Did your mom remarry? One of my friend's FH's mom and dad remarried so on the invite she put 'son of' and then all four names (mom, stepdad, dad, stepmom).
I don't know how you would do this. I think putting 'daughter of' stepmom and dad would really hurt your mom. Even though she is not helping out with it, I think to purposely exclude her can bring about so much drama and sadness that you don't need at this happy time.
Maybe you can put:
'daughter of'
mom's name
-next line- dad's name and stepmom's name

Sorry I am not much help!

I agree with the above two.

Although it was childish of your mom PART of me can see why she went back on her word when she found out that your step-mom is one of ur moh'ers. It wasn't right but i can kinda see why she would.

I agree with the above two posts...

either just write families or write your mom's name, and your dad and ur step-mom's name.

wait.. that wouldn't be right either cuz then your dad's 3rd wife would kinda take that as a slap in the face.

I think your best bet is to either write families or daughter of 'your mom's name and your dad's name'

Although your not close with your mom your parents are going to be and will always be your parents... for better or for worse.

This is complex... I'd go with 'together with our families' type of thing

what about 'with the blessings of their parents'

We had a complicated family thing and did a 'together with their families' and then it didn't all fit on our invite!

I specifically want my dads name on my invit. Also my step mothers which is why i am trying to come up with something that would be perfect & not intentionally hurt anyone. I already know i am saying son of bla bla bla for FH but mine is more complicated!
