Invitaion Question!!

Invitaion Question!!

Inside your inviation is it supposed to just be something like please join us and our parents or something like that with the place date and time, or do you think that a poem with that information would be nice.

Someone told me it would be cheesy to add a poem in the invite?

Re: Invitaion Question!!

We have a small 2 line poem to open & then it says
My name
&
His name

Along with their parents
request the honour of your presence at the
celebration of their Nuptials.

Date time info, etc.

ALSO,, it depends on what you like... a friend of mine got married at Oheka & had a 'hear ye, hear ye' thing goin on & it was pretty cool.

Mine had a little saying like this:

Love fills the moment and the moment becomes eternity

nancy and joe request the honor.....blah blah

as they pledge there love as one....

then all the important stuff...date, time...

Is that kind of what you mean?? I think it's nice to include a poem or saying.

I went to verse it.com and found a couple of them I like and combined a few 2 line poems and I really like it but a lady who does invites said it sounded cheesy to have a long poem in the inside of the invite.

hmmmm. that's strange that an invtation person would say that. I think if you find something that can set the tone for the wedding as well as express your feelings, then it isn't cheesy.

(Of course if your feelings for your invitation are something like ....rub a dub dub thanks for the grub then we may have to talk. )
