Invitation Addressing Question

Invitation Addressing Question

If a family unit has more than one child, and you are inviting all of them, obviously the invitation goes to 'The Smith Family'.

But what if there is only one child? Do you still do 'The Smith Family', or would you do
'Mr & Mrs John Smith
Jane Smith'
?

Even with 1 child they are still a family. I addressed mine as mr and mrs john smith and family

i wrote out all names of the family b/c i wanted each child to know they were invited. i just thought i was more formal and a nice gesture. i had the parents names and 3 kids names on several invitations

Mr. & Mrs. Joe Smith
Mr. Joe Smith
Ms. Jane Smith
