invitation budget ?

i spent about $1 per invitation but mine were very simple ... it is do-able though.

but most peoples' are in the $3-6 range (though that doesn't mean anything)

you can try Michael's using a 40% off coupon ... they have some really nice ones there!

Invitations were not that important to me as most people will just throw them away. I found a Brides DIY invite kit at Michael's that I really liked that went with my theme. I bought 120 invites for about $115.00 including tax.

If you are buying printed invites from others, I would budget between $3-5 per invite.

OMG i went out of control compared to our original budget. i think with everything in the end it is about $15 per invite--- redic i know! (but fh picked them and didnt have an opinion on much else so i didnt want to break his heart).

ps- they are letterpress.

I had to send out 150 invitations

I got

150 response cards
130 Thank you cards
130 Place cards (they all match)

for $580. The only reason why we got the Thank Yous and the Place Cards because Wedding Paper Divas gave us a 20% off coupon for ordering samples! I would visit their website - you'll find something awesome for your budget for sure :)

This is how much ours cost, too - We paid $500 for 125 invites, inner and outer envelopes, reception cards, response cards w/ envelope and then we paid another $100 to have our invite girl do computer calligraphy for the addresses on our invites, so it came to just under $5 per invite.

I feel like (compared to what ive read) everyone is spending wayyyyyyyy less than me.... I am having them made by a company, with thermography, and I am spending soo much more $$..; are u girls doing it yourself? is that why its sooo much less than mine? (I dont even wanna say how much im spending lol im embarrassed)

they're gorgeous and letterpress. i'm a designer myself and i am totally capable of designing my own, but i am SUCH a perfectionist i feel like i'd drive myself nuts designing my own. i think i'm going to have to, though, because i want gorgeous invites but don't really want to spend more than $5-$7 per invite.

Who did you use for this? $500 is the max I can spend for 125 but they are layered and it seems like yo get a lot, im curious! Please let me know!

Don't be embarrassed, if you have the money spend it! I didn't and I have such a big gust list that I know will 1) throw the invite away and forget the date and have to call anyway and 2) I just didn't have the room to spend on them. They are so seducing though how GORGEOUS the expensive ones are - so I understand the pretty penny!

I didnt want to spend a ton of money but I also didnt want them to look cheap..I got 150 invites for around $625..which was about $4 an invite.

But I have seen recently some beautiful ones in Michael's.. the kits
