Invitation colors

We are in the process (a very, very long process I might add) of ordering invitations. I was under the impression that either the ink color and/or the lining of the inner envelopes should be the same color as your wedding color. FI wants to use black ink and no lining in inner envelopes. I would like to use a red lining which is our wedding color. Do you need to indicate our wedding color through our invitations? Help me please - he seems to be upset about this!

IMO I don't think you need to match...I personally think it is overkill. But that is just my opinion. You could really do whatever your heart desires!

I received an invitation that was Light Green and the ink was also light green. It looked very nice but I have black ink on my Beige invitations and no lined envelope
