Invitation Crisis- averted! thanks ladies!!!

I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to do DIY my invites!!!!!!

When I ordered my invites through etsy, I asked for them to be 5x7 on linen paper, because I planned on attaching them to pocketfolds that I ordered from envelopeme.

So I bought all the material needed for these, and when I got the pocketfolds on thursday, I noticed they were too small. I immediately called the company and asked if they sent me the wrong size. I sent pictures over, and it turned out they were in fact 5x7- the etsy seller ordered me the wrong size invites (6x9)

They told me the could order me the 6x9 pocketfolds in the same color, but it would take 3 weeks to produce them, and another week for shipping!

I planned on sending my invites out in 2 weeks, and now I don't know what to do. I emailed 'HER', hoping i'd be able to get them created and overnighted to me in time to send them out as originally planned, but I'm now thinking that it's not enough time.

Anyone know how long it takes for you to get your invites from 'her'??


eta: we ended up getting glue dots and that held the corners down.

have you looked into getting the pocketfolds from somewhere else? there's a place in the city that has a TON in lots of colors...

i've looked all over online to find the right color, and envelope me was the only one who had a shade close enough to it

That's the place I was talking about! It's on 18th St bw 5th and 6th Aves.

order them through costco, they have tons of invites for good prices. You can only do them online though Your theme is peacock right? they have peacock invites too!!!

you could DIY with Michael's invites if you want - you have the pocketfolds - just get a 5x7 card and reprint the info from the invitations? i think the company Inkspun does printing relatively cheap.

as far as 'she' goes, she will probably charge you a ridiculous amount in rush fees to get it done on time, but i guess it's worth an email to find out!

We tried to to adjust the invitations by cutting the boarders off and some of the peacock feather, and it looked good last night when we did half of them, but this morning the corners are all peeling up, and the middle is stuck on the pocketfolds

so I contacted her and we're going back and forth with the design and proof. She's going to have to add a rush fee, but i'm not sure how much right now- ordering these depends on the total price (engaged couple=broke couple )

If she's too pricey, I'll check out the other places you guys suggested.

kristen, i think they look awesome the way they are!

take a pic of how they look now so we can get some perspective.

also, maybe you've just used the wrong adhesive and that's why it's not looking right? what are you using to mount the invite cards to the pocketfold?
