Invitation Crisis Maybe?!?!

Invitation Crisis Maybe?!?!

OK, I gve the calligrapher my envelopes on Tuesday. Now I here that she has to go out of town and won't be back til the 25th. Which means that they will probably be done by the 28th or 29th. And then I have to stuff them and send them out. I put my RSVP date as November 15th.

Do you think 2 weeks is enough time??

I'm freaking out a little!!!

She has no one helping her? Is it possible to get the envelopes back? 2 weeks is enough time for the responsible people, especially if you sent save-the-dates. Those that need 4 weeks would wait to respond if they had 6 months.

To tell you the truth, I don't remember if past invitations that I received were handwritten, done with calligraphy, or typed on a computer. I say get the envelopes back, with your money and do them yourself if you can.

That *****!

I'd try to get them back and go to someone else...if you can't then the 2 weeks is rushing people but they'll get over it! I agree that it's not too bad if you sent out STD cards too.

If you can, get the envelopes back and find someone else. I don't think 2 weeks is enough. If she can't do it then she should have arranged for someone else to complete them.

I think it's fine . . . Most people will know right away if they're coming or not. You may get some after the RSVP date, but that would happen no matter how early you sent them out, believe me!

I wouldln't stress too much.

If there's nothing you can do, don't worry about it and move on. If you send out save the dates or have told a lot of people the date, they will know ahead of time.

That being said, if you can, I'd try to get them back and maybe have someone else do them though. 2 weeks isn't a whole lot of time.....

While 2 weeks isn't a lot of time, it's not necessarily a bad thing. My best friend once pointed out that if she gets an invitation too early she tends to forget about the event! Another friend of mine DID completely forget about a wedding she was supposed to attend because she got the invitation so far in advance. Luckily I was going to the same wedding so I called to remind on her the day of the event, but she would have missed it had I not. Yes, I know they're airheads, but airheads are everywhere.

If you can't get the envelopes back to do them yourself, don't worry about it.

i agree, also, you dont want people feeling as though they were 'b' listed. My boss brought an invite in today that he just got and he was like 'I guess I was on the c list'. Maybe get them back and send them to bill @ inkspun, i have heard his turn around is just a few days!
