Would you put the names of one set of parents on the invitation even if they are not helping to pay for the wedding? We put both sets of parents on the invitation... Mr. and Mrs. ABC and Mr. and Mrs. DEF request the honour of your presence... We did this out of respect. But now I'm thinking I shouldn't word it like that because my FH's parents are not contributing. My parents are contributing but FH and I are paying for most of it. What do you think? What would you think if you got an invitation worded like that?

Re: Invitation Dilemma
my invite reads something to the effect of: fred and ginger rogers invite you to share in the joy of uniting their daughter, mary to tiny tim smith ...
we didn't do 'son of'. FH's parents don't show an interest in the wedding, so i didn't feel it necessary to include them on the invite, and it's polite but not necessarily customary.
we included my parents even though FH and i are footing the entire bill bc they are doing everything they can to help out even if they can't help with any moola.
it doesn't matter to me if it looks like my parents are paying for the wedding, doesn't matter to me if that is what people think. my parents are SUPPORTING the wedding 200%, and that's what it is really about anyway, isn't it?

Re: Invitation Dilemma
I think you should do what YOU feel comfortable with - no one else is going to know who paid and who didn't!!
Although my mom and stepdad are paying for ours, she accepts that I want my dad mentioned as well - as long as her name's first!
