So I am dead set on boxed invites. I initially wanted to do Silk Folio boxed invites. The problem I am having with that is that I can't find a light weight box that fits my invites. The box that I have is a little heavier which jacks up the postage.
I was considering doing a silk pouch in a box. The silk pouch would contain the invitation and inserts. It would be placed in a box as well. (the weight would be a lot less and easier for postage.
I have attached pictures of both.
Should I keep searching for a lighter weight box for the folio or go with the lighter weight silk pouch??
The silk pouch is the tiny picture? Its hard to see, Its brown and cream with that broach? I think it looks beautiful

I think they both beauitful. Since you are looking to so something a little different by sending your invites in boxes I would go with the silk. I feel like you do see that too often.

They are both silk. The top is an envelope. The bottom in brown with cream ribbon is a folio.

IMO I would look for lighter boxes. I personally prefer the way it looks. BUT they both look very nice

The silk pouch is the first picture that is black. The second brown with cream is a folio. The broach unlocks and it opens up where the invite goes in.

I honestly think they are both gorgeous and both 'wow.'
I did boxed invites and yes my postage was a little high but so many people called me to tell me how amazing, impressive and gorgeous they were, which is exactly the tone I wanted to set for my wedding!
what is the postage?? and the price points on the two?

Re: Invitation Dilemma (w/pics)
The pouches are cheaper all around...the folios are absolutely gorgeous though, but the box I ordered from India with folio makes the weight over 13 ounces which puts postage at 5 dollars. If I find a light weight box for the folio my postage would be 3 dollars max because it's under 13 ounces.

Oh and I still have to order a pouch sample to see them in person, but I am sure they are jut as gorgeous as the folios because it's the same vendor.
Jenny how much was your postage?

i think that either one of those invites would give a wow factor! they are both beautiful, i would go for the less expensive postage.

I am definitely leaning towards taking the less expensive route. Once I receive my pouch samples I will see how much of a postage price difference they really are.
