I am printing mine with a nice font. It was a compromise between the lables and hand writen.

I just got an invitation to a wedding with labels on it and honestly, I didn't like it. I have seen people run their envelopes through the printer and think that looks much more classy than those labels. JMO.

We got our envelopes printed by encore studios and I think it was only like 1.25 an envelope so I thought that was reasonable. Maybe you can look into something like that.

Personally all I have to say to that is 'Screw it, I ain't rich and the invite is goregous as is'

My invites were NOT cheap! They have dark red outer envelopes. Black in just doesnt make sense. I don't have the cash or time to find someone to write out my invites in gold.

So we're using Gold labels and black ink.

NO ONE that *I* know and respect would dare to judge me by the 'label' on their invite. You should be honored to BE invited. Those invites are impressive when opened and a lot of thought and effort went into it. I would NEVER consider the label any reflection on the bride/groom.

Besides ALL of that. Who in their right mind is going to come up to a bride and say 'Your invite was gorgeous but I felt slighted by the fact you didn't handwrite my name'. Well my mother may, but she doesnt count she's not really a guest.

Half our invites are HAND DELIVERED which I know has been considered a no-no here but 'we' (Jim & I) find it a special touch to walk up to a person and say 'I would like YOU to come to MY wedding' *shrug*

Do what you feel is best I guess is my motto.

ETA: The font on the labels would be script of course.

Personally I just don't like the look of labels.

I don't get offended by them but I do think it looks like the person took the easy way out. It's just as easy to print the addresses right on the envelopes and I think it looks so much nicer.

I doubt anyone would say anything to the bride or groom but it doesn't mean the guests don't have a negative opinion of them.
