my soon to hubby and his mom dont really get along.. they got into a bad fight this weekend and it ended in him telling her to forget she had a son.. trust me ladies she deserved to be told that... anyhow me and her got into it a few weeks ago about the same topic .. and it ended in her telling me she wasnt coming to the wedding.. now if i know her the way that i do she will end up coming anyway..
here is my question: his family isnt paying for anything.. my parents are.. now since they are playing this game that they say they are coming one day and the next day they say they are not coming and they arent making any contribution to the wedding, and he and his mom dont really get along, but he does get along better with his dad i feel like there names should not be on the invitation.. am i being wrong.. need some imput.. thanks girls..
PS. finance doesnt care either way .. if his parents are mention on the invitation or not

I can't help but notice you are not getting married until March of 2007. If that is really your date, I don't think you should make a decision now on the invites. Families fight all the time.. say things they don't mean just to hurt the other person... and when you least expect it, make up. IMHO I don't think you should be making any decisions before your husband cools down.... If you do something to offend his family, in 10 years your husband could be extremely close with his family and you are the one looking at like the bad guy. to them... So I wouldn't make any decisions until this whole thing calms down a bit. Sorry it was so long.
Sorry you are going through this though.

just to not have yet ANOTHER thing to fight over....you can put them on there. it doesn't mean thye are paying....you can have traditional wording like
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith invite you....yada their daughter:
Jane Marie to Mr. John Anthony Doe, son of Mr. & Mrs. Pain-in-the-@ss
that way it shows that your parents are hosting.
LOL nice way of putting it!!!

NO!!!!!
yeah but i have to agree with this one-- regardless of how you get along, if they are not paying anything than traditionally it's just your parents names!

Just remember, your wedding is in another year or so.
Things can change between now and then. You can always mention them and see how it goes closer to the wedding.
This is what I was going to say.... you have time before you need to worry about invite wording. See what happens and reevaluate the situation in a few months.

I wouldn't put them on there. Your parents are helping pay and they should get that recognition.
I agree.

I thought I remembered reading a post about you calling off your wedding? Is everything better now? I hope so! I say no parents on invites

I agree, I would do it this way so there wont be even more waves. Just think that in the future if you and FH mend the relationship you may have regrets for not mentioning them on the invite.
