INvitation help!!

Just picked up invites and didnt' realize they come with inner envelopes...what do you write on them or do you have to write on all of them?

Also...is there a special way to place everything in envelope? (i.e. invitation, response card, direction card, hotel card)

I didn't have inner envelopes so i may be wrong but i'm pretty sure that the outer envelope is for the 'formal' guest names (Mr & Mrs Bob Bobbingston) while the inner envelope is for a less formal name (Bob and Betty Bobbingston)

there IS an order of the things you're putting in .... just google it to find it ... or just do biggest card to smallest card - i seriously doubt anyone ever notices this.

If you address the outer envelope to Mr. & Mrs. Smith & Family

the inner envelope is addressed to Jane, John, Joe, Jim

you dont HAVE to write anything... but that is the purpose of the inside envelope

i found it easier to not address the inner envelope at all unless I was clarifying something for the invitee.
(Ex: So and so plus one or so and so and guest, or so and so and 'name')

Most of the +1 are implied spouses so I didnt feel the need to overstate the obvious.

Thank you ! I feel much better that I dont have to write them. I thought it would be redundant anyway. Perhaps for the one or 2 people that i am inviting their kids?

I'm so excited just went to PO and..my invitation is only a 44 cent stamp!! YAY!!!
