OK after all the frustration I've had I finally ordered and recieved my invitations.
The good news is that it took mere days. I ordered them on Thursday night, they arrived today in the mail.
The bad news. Stupid me forgot to include an RSVP date on them.
The company won't redo them because it was my own mistake and I really don't want to have to pay to have them redone.
Any suggestions?
I am soooo p!ssed off at myself right now, i feel like crying crying and I know I shouldn't
I have clear labels but they are too big.... ...i'm not sure if either 1) I can put two or three on a label and cut it down or
2)Maybe I should put the label on the front so they see the RSVP date before the rest,

Hey don't freak out..maybe you can get the clear/trasnparent labels, and just create labels with your RSVP date. You can cut the labels neatly, and just stick them onto ur response cards or invitations?

can you show us what the cards look like right now? it might be easier to help. do you not have an RSVP card at all? You could always order postcards from Vistaprint at minimal cost.... or buy DIY cards at Michaels or something like that.
do you know anyone with really good hand writing that can fill in the date on the RSVP card if you already have one?

take a pic or describe what your rsvp cards look like. also, how much would it cost to redo them? arent most places $50 or less for 100?

Originally thats what I was thinking but the ones I have are 2x4 and WAY too large to do this with. I'd have to go out and buy more of them, which might be a waste since you usually have to buy 300/pk.

If you ordered response cards already and the envelopes are printed correctly, you should just be able to order a 'reception card' with response card wording.
Reception cards should be the same cardstock as the response card, they just don't come with envelopes so they are less expensive.

More than anything i'm just annoyed at myself. I should have noticed it didn't have a date before I bought it. The original copy i did had a date but I think i deleted that copy before I actually placed the order.

It may take some fancy editing, but you can print (on your computer) just the 'please rsvp by ' at the bottom next to the little couple
am i making any sense??

From the picture you posted, i think you can put the clear label on it and no one will care. Cut the label down if you need to.

Yeah you're making sense but im afraid if i put it through the printer again, I won't be able to line it up properly. I might be able to do it on the front page though???

measure the card and change the page size to its dimensions and right justify so it doesnt run into the little couple
either make a copy or trace the pic and text onto a piece of paper to practice
sorry- other than labels, I cant think of anything or handwriting...but you will know it was a mess up w/ labels and and writing

Thats actually a good idea....but i'm still really afraid of ruining it but it does help and gives me an idea.
As I said, the front is completely blank so it might look better if I put it in the middle on the front and then fold the card. This way it will say something like
Kindly RSVP by (I think i'm going to use Feb 14)... on the front.....and then when you open it, they'll see what you see.
I'm going to talk to my mother tomorrow and see what she recommends, she's really good with computers/printers and Word.
OK I'm feeling better now.

I think they really go based on what you tell them so I don't think they think of those things. They probably thought that thats what I wanted. What annoys me is that my sister said that I should actually call them to place the order and not do it online but foolish me....
I was really hoping they wouldn't put up a fight when I spoke to them but in the end it really was my fault and not theirs.
They offered to do them for me at a discount but since I originally had planned on doing invitations myself (for about half the price), I already spent more money than I hoped. I really don't want to pay MORE to have them done again.

Honestly, that is absurd, and a rip-off too.
Reception cards are LESS than Response cards, b/c they don't have envelopes. And you don't need envelopes. It does not matter what wording is printed on the card!
I would really suggest spending the small $$ to have a Reception card printed so everything looks perfect.
If you put it through your printer or put a clear label on it, it will look like you did exactly that!

I think you should just leave them alone and send them out as is. Even with dates on them a lot of people don't respond until after the date or not at all. I would just start calling people if I didn't get a response back by the date you were going to use . A lot of people won't even notice there is no date. I would be afraid of ruining them by trying to add a label or run them through a printer.
