Invitation help/inner envelopes

Invitation help/inner envelopes

We ordered our invitations yest. and they came with the inner envelopes. I'm not really sure what the point of them is? Do we need to have people's names written in caligraphy on them as well? I might just toss them.

Also, did anyone use the computer to print out addresses on the envelopes? if so, please tell me how you did it.

Thanks!!!

Re: Invitation help/inner envelopes

Hi Val,

Okay the outter envelope is used to address for mailing your invites. Mr. John Smith
123 Elm Street
Anytown, NY 12345

The inner envelope is to designate your invite ie:\

Mr. John Smith
and
Guest

I would keep the inner envelope. If you didn't pay extra for them...it makes the invite a little more formal or special.

Good Luck

Hmmm.....
I didn't write a thing on the inner envelope. Just stick it in there.

I wasn't going to write anything on the inner envelopes, but maybe i will put just the name and '& Guest'...i actually did my outer envelope today with microsoft word...go to 'letters and mailing' and you can enter the size of your envelope and it will tell you how to feed it into your printer. It worked really well! HTH!!!

We put the actual invited persons on the inner envelope.

Outside said:
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
123 Block Avenue
Somehwere, City 12345

Inner Said:
Mr. & Mrs. Smith

or depending on the relationship

Uncle Joe & Aunt Joanne

I printed my envelopes on my printer...we did them from excel and did a mail merge.
