INVITATION HORROR SHOW....

INVITATION HORROR SHOW....

I ordered 110 of everything giving me approx 15 extra envelopes, etc.

so i didn't put a stamp on all of the extra response cards..

well we had our assembly line going moving pretty quickly, and SOMEHOW my mom put at least 3 if not more response card envelopes in an enveloped and sealed WITHOUT a stamp.

I am so angry, embarrased, pissed, you name it. Someone is going to open their envelope and be like look at this cheap bride she didn't even put a stamp on the response card env. how are they supposed to RSVP now?

my FI was sealing them and working so quickly I didn't even have time to go back and check them b/c he was done.

to top it all off he was putting them in the 'DONE' box all out of order just sticking them anywhere. So i have no idea which ones were the end (even thoughI know they were the ones towards the end of the list).

I'm so upset, and I can't open them b/c i don't have any extra envelops, not to mention I can't get the girl to come back and do the calligraphy on them...

i am fighting back tears..

dont cry...at least it was only 3 and not 30. and if someone bitches to you about having to pay $.39 then you know what to expect in your envelope

Awww Mel don't worry!! Look the bottom line is when those three get their invitations they just put a stamp on it and mail it. If anyone's got something to say about it over 39 cents then screw them. I'm sure they'll figure it was an oversight. There's nothing you can do about it so take a deep breath and relax

Don't worry - I'm sure whoever gets a non-stamped response will realize it was a miss, and not that you're cheap!

Its really not the end of the world...its no big deal for someone to put a stamp on it...people realize mistakes happen...and if anything blame you mom...just kidding

I did the same thing for at least one invitation. It's not a huge deal, so please don't cry about it. Everyone has extra stamps at home and a few people will have to part with one to send your response card. It's already done and worring about it isn't going to make it better, so let's just let it go.

Honestly, I wouldn't think anything of it if I got one without a stamp...

yeah i know I sort of _itched her out and said some mean things that she was stupid, etc and now she's mad, I said I'm sorry but she is angry at me and says i don't know how to deal with issues.

no one realizes that I've spent roughly 12-15 hours on these inviations and wanted them to be perfect. I just hope everyone got a response card and a direction card and she didn't screw that up too.

i wish i could do it all over again even though this week has been hellish for me...

sorry for all the negativity this has just been the worst ending to the week i should be happy they are done not upset.

I understand your pain. I FREAKED out when I realized that the list I gave the invitation place had all abbreviations for St. Ave. and even state names. You work so hard and you want everything to be perfect. But missing a few stamps really isn't a big deal. If I wasn't a bride, I probably wouldn't even notice a reply card without a stamp. And the brides that do notice will know how hard it is stuffing envelopes and will realize it was a complete mistake.

I understand how you feel. I wanted to make sure my invites were perfect when they went out. My mom, dad and FH might have thought I was being a *****, but I didn't care, I wanted it done my way.
Really the 3 people that didn't get a stamp most likely won't think much of it, but it's okay for you to be upset. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's annoying after all the work you put into them.

don't worry...it's okay. my very good friend just got married and i got her rsvp card without a stamp. i knew that she had put them on so mine was obviously missed. Most even semi-rational people will not think twice about it. No worries...and at least it was only a few! I understand how you feel though because we brides always want everything to be perfect!

if it makes you feel any better, I would not even notice that a stamp was missing on an rsvp card if i received one that way. Don't be sad

This is really not a horror show. I thought you were going to say something really crazy and aweful. 3 stamps missing does not make a horror show.

thanks its just the uncertainty of it that kills me,, who didn't get the stamp and is there anything else missing, direction card, etc. our numbers were a litle off so i'm just nervous, oh well at this point there is nothing i can do......

And remember the people you are inviting love you, and are your good friends and family. So, if there is a mix up I'm sure they'll let you know and understand.

Well, I did the same thing for one of my invites. Since my envelopes were self-sealing ones, I was able to open them. Do you think if you tried opening them, then it'd come out badly?

Honestly, it's not a big deal-- like the other girls said, I'm sure no one would think you did it on purpose.
