Invitation Mailing

Invitation Mailing

I think this was asked before so I aplogize if I'm repeating someone's question.

I was wondering about 'hand cancelling' my DIY invitations. For anyone that knows, it this an additional fee? If so, do you know how much? Is it worth it?

Sorry so many questions. I did pocketfold invitations (6x6 from cardstock.com) and I have 3-4 inserts in them. I'm jsut trying to figure out what's the best way to go about mailing them.

Thank you. Happy Holidays!

no fee. i heard some girls say they had to hand stamp their invites themselves, but i just dropped mine off, and they did it for me.

Invites should be hand stamped so that they are not damaged in the automatic stamping machine. Plus it looks nicer :)

Re: Invitation Mailing

it's defintely worth a try....i didn't know about hand cancelling and my beautiful wax seals that i spent hours on got smushed & ugly black smudges got drawn over my beautiful hand calligraphied envelopes...I did still get compliments on how nice they were - but whatever - i was still so upset lol. BUT - i have heard that sometimes girls get them hand cancelled & they get ran through the machine anyway...but it's definetly worth a try to do it. u just ask the postal clerk & they do it right there...no fee good luck!

Thank you ladies. It's getting closer and I'm getting excited to mail out my invites. Probably around the last week of January.

Happy Holidays!
