Okay, so after my mini meltdown yesterday about not loving any invitations, I got two new samples in the mail from white aisle. BOTH FH and I actually like them! We like that they're both modern and vintage at the same time, and I LOVE, LOVE the paper (it's like cloth)!
Now, we can't decide which one. We want to do the larger square and we're thinking chocolate brown for both the design and the writing. My other colors are claret red and burnt orange, and I'm not sure the design would look good in those colors.
I voted for #1. I really like the lace around the edge - and you're so right, it's both modern with that touch of vintage classy

I vote for around the edges. I think the design would look very nice in chocolate brown!!! They are beautiful!!!

I voted for lace around the edges. While your invitation would look nice in all brown, I wouldn't rule out using your colors. You could keep the text brown and do one portion of the lace in red and another in orange.

Thanks guys! It looks like number 1 is the winner. That's the one FH and I were leaning towards...we just want to do it in a square b/c our std was long and narrow. I showed my mom today and she picked no. 1 too!

I say 1 too because I think the dark brown might be too overpowering in 2.

What are your wedding colors? They're both pretty! I'd go for # 1.
