I didn't on my first set and then I felt bad so I ordered a new set that just says 'together with their parents'

Re: Invitation Question....

We didn't for a number of reasons -

1. they're divorced & the wording it too much they want BOTH their new spouses names on the invite...ughh is this a book

2. they're from OOT & not PAYING for anything except their tickets & hotel (& his Mom is anything but poor, quite the oppositte)...when we asked if they'd like to cover only the RD they said why have one if it's just extra money to spend but of course they'll go if his Dad (who is def. NOT well off) pays

3. IT'S OUR WEDDING! & IT'S YOUR WEDDING TOO :) Remember as much as they may or may not be upset - it's just an invite which most people toss & if its saved (w/the exception of you two who might frame it) it finds a home in a drawer burried under other stuff

Just think about the people involved, if it means something to you & you can afford to have them redone go for it! I once got a wedding invitation that had 2 sets of BP & 2 sets of GP & they were all Greek with last names of 15+ letters BUT it was beautiful b/c of what a loving family ALL these people are :)

We are going to do together with their parents, we too have divorced parents and my two parents have spouses.

Too many names on one invite for us...

Re: Invitation Question....

I have never hear of putting the grooms parents names on the invite, though I can totaly see my future mother in law arguing with me that we should.
In all, if his parents don't get upset about it, then it really doesn't matter, now does it

We are putting his parent names on the invite. Although they are contributing, I still would have done it if they weren't. They have been really good to me.

Mr. and Mrs. XXXXX XXXXXX (my parents)
and
Mr. and Mrs. XXXXX XXXXXX (FH parents)
request the honor of your presence
to witness the marriage of their children
Stephanie
and
Michael
