Invitation question...

Does your invitations have to match your theme of the wedding? We don't really have a theme right now, but I definitely would match the colors.

Invitation question...

We are just starting to look at invitations, and we don't have a theme either. We are just trying to chose an invitation to match the formality of our wedding. We are not even trying to match the colors either, because we have celadon and that's not such a great color on stationary.

What we did

We don't have a theme but I just matched the inner envelope with our colors.

Ours will not

We are having a Caribbean theme and we are using and invitation that includes a picture from our engagment shoot. I don't think it matters, its your choice, I think as long as it tells the type of wedding ie formal/casual

I tried, but...

it just didn`t work out. I had wanted to have wedding bells as our theme. We had bells at each place setting, and a wedding bells cake topper. But, when it came to picking the invites, the one my then-fiance picked out were just too stunning to even considering going with the one I sort-of liked with a little wedding bells design on it. Believe me, no one would have noticed there was a little wedding bells theme going had we found invitations equally as impressive and went with them instead. But, those little touches will mean something to you and your husband on your special day and there-after. Just don`t compromise quality for your theme.
