Ok i went yesterday to pick out my invites. We picked them but didnt order them cause we werent sure about the wording on the invites due to divorced parents. Besides that, they said you normally mail them out about 2 months before and set the rsvp date for 1 month the wedding.
So im getting married on October 19. Should i set the rsvp for Sept 19. And mail them out on August 19.

I made our rsvp 1 month before the date and will mail them out 2 months prior to the date so your right on target with what you were thinking.

exactly right! we are mailing a little early (6 weeks before the rsvp date) but only because the wedding is on a holiday weekend

My sales rep advised seting the RSVP date 5-6 weeks prior. Reasoning is that there will always be the last minute RSVP'ers, and you can give yourself a little time before having to start calling people. Also find out when you RH needs the final count. If it is two weeks before, then you will only have two weeks to track down all those missing RSVP's.

Invites out: 3rd week of July sometime RSVP: August 25 Wedding: September 22

That is exactly what I am doing. Sending them out June with a rsvp for July which is exactly one month before the wedding.
