Invitation Question...

If we're having the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception all at the same place - with no time in between - do I need to order 'reception cards'? What are they and what purpose do they serve? Can I word it directly on the invite that C, CH & R will be at the same place? (Something like...join blahblahblah at date, time...CH (or R) immediately following)

I did it all on one. At the bottom of the invite a standard statement is:

Dinner reception immediately following ceremony

We wrote:

Cocktails, dinner and celebration immediately following ceremony

Talk to your invite person.

Thanks for the opinions. I found a few invites that I loved online - I have been having a hard time finding invites with personality/that don't look too wedding-y...anyway...I guess I could talk to them just as easily.
