So apparently the new thing is to hand write the addresses for the invitations? has anyone else heard of this?
First it's calligraphy.. now it's this? just wanted to see if any of you have heard of this trend.

Re: invitation question
I got one invite in the mail to FH's friends' wedding in May that was handwritten. My parents also just went to a wedding where the invite was hand written...
IMO, I don't like them! First off, the people that hand wrote them had horrible handwriting (looked like something one of my students wrote out). Secondly, you're spending all this money on invites and the wedding, what's a couple extra bucks to get clear labels if you don't want to do calligraphy or get them printed.
That's just my opinion, but it looked awful...very cheap for weddings that aren't cheap at all!
true calligraphy is hand written...if you mean just regular writing I say IMO I dont like it either...I used http://www.inkspun.com/
they did an awesome job for very cheap :)

Re: invitation question
Have not heard of it. I have horrible handwriting so that is not even an option for me. I liked the idea of printing on clear labels.

Re: invitation question
I think to cut costs i'm going to print the labels in a pretty script on clear labels....my handwriting is messy...so is FH's!

Re: invitation question
I def would not hand write the invitations.....using an at home printer is so easy, so i think that would be a better option

Re: invitation question
It's not a new thing. Actually, formal invitations are supposed to be handwritten due to the personal nature of the invitation; that's how the calligraphy gfot started.

I agree, I wouldnt hand write them. I havent heard of anyone doing that. I dont even want to hand write it for the save the dates. I'm getting clear labels and printing them. Havent decided what I'm doing for the inviations.

Re: invitation question
I am doing big clear lables with a fancy colored font. I think it looks nice, and remember, the envelope goes right in the garbage.
