Invitation Response Cards

Has anyone ever heard of some of the return address on response cards being addressed to the groom's side of the family if they are guests on his side? My FML asked if the return address on invites for her guests can have her address printed on them so that she can keep track of them but I don't know if this is proper or possible to split up the printing like this. Any advice would be appreciated!

Invitation Response Cards... I wouldn't!

I would keep them all at the same house so it is easier to keep track. I have never heard of anyone doing that. You can give her updates, but why split them up. Doing that may make it harder to do a head count or something! Just my advice.

Invitation Response Cards

I would send all the response cards to one place. 1. I would think it would be extra to print 2 different return addresses and 2. you don't want any responses to get lost in the shuffle of things. If you are OK with your FMIL receiving all the cards, I think it would fine to send them there.

Invitation Response Cards

One invite place just told me there would be an extra charge for printing them up separately and that this really isn't done etiquette wise. I really don't want ALL of them going to her house as I do want the fun of opening up my invites. I really do appreciate everyone's advice as I love her and certainly don't want to hurt her feelings but I want to do things right also.

Invitation Response Cards

All of our response cards are addressed to my parents. I've never heard of splitting them up. And you could always give her a running tally of who on her side of the family is coming.

Invitation Response Cards

It will probably be easier to have all of the response cards sent to one address. Typically, they are sent to the bride's or bride's parents address or whoever is sponsoring the wedding. Maybe, you can tell your FMIL that you will keep her updated and supply her with a list of guests that are from her family/friends. Best thing to do is talk to her and come to some kind of compromise. Best of luck!
