invitation sample (poll)

I'm thinking of buying a sample and looking for feedback.

Update: Thanks for all the feedback. i ordered a sample along with a few others. The whole thing only cost me $5.

how much are the samples?
I would get a bunch or different ones and see what you like

colors can be different from online to inhand!

i chose 'it needs something' but i can't quite put my finger on it. i think the design and colors are AMAZING. maybe something to do with the font of your first names? i'm not quite sure!! but i think the invite is gorgeous!

I think that if you are hesitant about it...it may not be the one for you.

I think it is beautiful and unique but probably would not chose it for myself because I think it is too busy up top and it takes away from the important part....the words!

I think it's very pretty! But definitely shop around to make sure it's your favorite. If you have time, try going to a store that sells invites so you can see the samples in person without having to pay for them.

i voted trash it because:

- i dont like the font -- it looks like you printed it on your own computer, and if you are paying to get it done it doesnt look professional

- the design on the card is very pretty but it overshadows the wording

- your names just blend in to the background and i think the shape of the card makes the wording too squashed

I like the colors and I would probably like it better with a different layout though

it's unusual! not your typical wedding invite. i think it would be nice for table names/numbers or placecards

my colors are navy, butter yellow, and green (like kiwi or a granny smith apple).

thanks to everyone for all the feedback! i'm definitely still shopping around and will probably head to a party store to look at a bunch at once. this one just really intrigued me, so i still might spring for the sample.

I am almost positive that you can choose any style font you want. but I would get a few differ samples or actually go to a vendor that would have actual invitations. Sometimes the paper quality isnt any good.

I think it looks great!

At first glance, I thought it resembled a dollar bill due to the layout, color, and the graphic design elements. Not saying that's bad, but it's the first thing that popped into my head.

FYI the colors in the image you posted are REALLY off from the actual invitation ...

I really recommend seeing any invitation you're considering in person before purchasing. I see so many Brides who are disappointed because the invitation didn't look like the online picture.

In person it is more similar to this:

I voted trash it, for some reason Im not liking it, I dont know if its b/c its long ways...or if its b/c you are automatically drawn to the design of the card

Re: invitation sample (poll)

honestly not crazy about it. i voted trash it. the top design part looks smeared or messy or something and the color of the names looks like its bleeding (smeary). but maybe thats just the photo you have of it. im not sure. not crazy about the fonts used either. looks very DIY but not in a good way. JMO!!!

i think you can probably find something very similar that takes it to the next level. cleaner and more elegant.

if it looks like this-- colors are more rich looking than the other picture and classier font is used in this one-- go for it if it looks like this one!

Something is wrong - I can't put my finger on it.

I think I am not liking the Font or the size of the Names - It doesn't seem important enough.

It is more whimsical if that makes any sense.
That is o.k if that is what your going for. It seems quite casual and funn.

If your going for Elegant than shop around so it can be perfected.

Just wanted to point out that the background color of the invite is definitely not a butter yellow, if that's what you were hoping for .... I could see how in the pic you posted it *seems* like it has all the colors you mentioned above if you use Navy ink ... but the whole card is just shades of green.
