I was at my brothers house 2 months ago (I wasn't engaged yet) and I saw an awesome wedding invitation hanging up in his kitchen (for a wedding he and his wife were invited too) My sister in law told me that the groom of that wedding was Indian and they were using bright indian colors and mehndi designs on their stationary, but it wasn't an indian wedding. I loved the invitaion and I should have taken it but I didn't, thinking I could find one like it online. Im not having an indian wedding but the invitation was so fresh, modern and different. It also matched the bright summer colors I want in my wedding. I haven't seen one anywhere I like as much (I looked at tons of indian invitations too). I am thinking of asking my brother to call them and ask where it's from. I don't know them at all, hopefully they will be flattered I want to copy them! I can't get that invitation out of my head!

My friend and BM is from India, and they do very extravagant invites at a fraction of the cost of American invites. If you have the idea in your head, I can refer you to a company she recommends. FM me if you are interested . . . . . I almost did this, leaving her in charge, they do wonderful stuff!!!

I got a sample of indian invitations although im not having an indian wedding and omg it is nice and is not as expensive. It was a scroll invitation. FM me if you want to know where i ordered it from.
