Okay so my parents are basically footing the bill for the whole wedding....my FH and I are paying for some of it but my parents are being great and really helping us out here while FH's parents just started speaking to us after 5 months and aren't going to pay for anything at all. Do I have to put their names on the invite? My mom, being the wonderful person she is, said it could go at the bottom...like say Mr. and Mrs. (my parents) request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter(me) to (my fiance), son of( hisparents).....is that okay you think if they have to be on it but do they really have to be on the invite at all?? lol. HELP!!!

They don't HAVE to be on at all, a lot of people do that. But to keep the peace and just to be nice, you could have them on. Really all up to you and FH.

Hi! I just went through this myself. I questioned the same thing. FH and I decided that we are going to just have the wording like this 'Together with their families Bride and Groom request the honor of your presence at their marriafe on date, time, location, etc..' I really wanted to mention my parents names BUT to keep the peace.. I figured this way sounds best.. no names but still polite.
