Invitation Wording...

Invitation Wording...

ok... my parents, Fh and I and it seems his mom is giving us money for the wedding (she should her list is 80% of the wedding!) anyway, Invitation wording which one do you think?

First One:
THE HONOR OF YOUR PRESENCE IS REQUESTED AT THE MARRIAGE OF
Bride
Daughter of ___
AND
Groom
SON OF ___
Date
Time
Church
Church address

Second One:
Bride's Parents
and
Grooms Parents
REQUEST THE HONOR OF YOUR PRESENCE AT THE MARRIAGE OF THEIR CHILDREN
Bride
AND
Groom
Date
Time
Church
Church address

Also, a side question the wording

Bride
AND
Groom

should the AND be replaced with TO or leave it as AND?

TIA!

I like the first one better since you and FH are helping to foot the bill. It gives respect to your parents but also doesn't make it seem like they're completely hosting.

As for your 2nd question, I like the 'bride AND groom'; sounds more of an equal union. The wording 'bride TO groom' sounds too possesive IMO.

I like the 1st one better because it is more traditional and will be timeless for your invites being in pictures in your albums and framed. I think on invites it is more traditional to spell the word honour instead of honor?? Mine reads:

Mr and Mrs K B
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Jennifer Mary
to
Mr. Phillip G
etc....
