im designing and printing my own invitations and i have a question... on the invitation itself, you put the ceremony location... do you also put the reception location? or does that go on a seperate card.. and then the reply card is also seperate? or would you put both the ceremony and reception site on the invitation and then have just the one seperate reply card?

Re: invitation wording
Ceremony info on the invite, separate card for reception and separate card for RSVP. Does that help?

Re: invitation wording
so i guess that thats one way of doing it... but i want to keep the price down.. im having it letterpress printed which will get expensive... so is it okay, to put the ceremony and reception locations on the same invite and then i will only have to get one seperate reply card printed?

Re: invitation wording
It is ok to put both on the invitation. You could put 'Reception to follow at 6:30 PM at _______'

Re: invitation wording
Oh, make sure you include a map with directions and the address of the reception hall if you do put them all on one.

Re: invitation wording
For the amount of info you're trying to put on the invite, I'd go with the all-in-one wedding invitations from The American Wedding . They come to about $1 each for 100 (plus postage). It would be as follows:
Mom and Dad invite you to the wedding of Bride and Groom, to be held at X Church, Church address here, at whatever time and date. Reception to follow at Catering Hall Y, Hall address here, at whatever time.

No, if you do that it will look way too cluttered.
This is what I would do on the invitation:
....invite you to the wedding of conjuredmuffin and FH the twenty first of September two thousand seven at three o'clock in the afternoon at :ceremony location:
Reception to follow at X-time at X-place
Then you'll need a separate card for the RSVP.
Then you'll need a third card for the Directions. You can make them yourself so that they're 2-sided. On one side put the address and directions to the ceremony and on the other side put the address and directions to the RH.

Re: invitation wording
I'd put the reception info on a separate card...thats what we did atleast...made a 'Reception' insert for our pocket folds.

Re: invitation wording
Same here, our ceremony is on the invite and our reception info is on a seperate card in our pocketfolds.
