Invitation wording...

Mr. and Mrs. W
Mr. and Mrs. B
Mr. and Mrs. K

request the pleasure of your company
at the marriage of

Rachel Sharyn W
&
Adam Louis K

Sunday, the 11th of July
Two Thousand and Ten
at Three o'clock in the afternoon

The Water's Edge
Long Island City, NY

1. How do you guys feel about having all three sets of parents listed? We were thinking of doing 'together with their families' ....

2. Do I need to capitalize anything that I didn't already do? (like the A in afternoon, etc.)

3. Does the rest of the wording sound right?

TIA!

ita.... traditionally the brides parents are listed first followed by your name, then fh's then his parents

like mr. & mrs k request honour of presence at marriage of daughter
jane
to
bob
son of mr and mrs w

eta: there are many ways of doing this though

Re: Invitation wording...

are his parents giving $?

if so, then i think either the way you have it or saying together with their parents is fine.

i think when you put his parents below it implies they arent paying.

we have all 3 sets of parents giving us money so we did Together with Their Parents.

His parents are giving more $$ than mine

Maybe we will do together with their parents...I do like it, just wanted to honor everyone if it were possible but also don't want it to be too busy...

just be careful youre not offending anyone if you dont name names... invitations are a touchy subject for a lot of parents

Here's mine, both parents are paying:

Mr. Donald S and Ms. Linda S
together with
Mr. & Mrs. Michael S
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their children
Laura
and
Michael

etc. etc. etc..........

Re: Invitation wording...

Thanks Laura, I'm going to see how FH likes this:

Mr. W
together with
Mr. K and Mrs. B

I just am not sure if I can leave out stepparents...we'll see what he thinks.

As for 'together with their families', we asked all our parents and they said it would be fine with them.

Thanks guys--I guess we still have to make a final decision!
