Ok, so I posted this yesterday and I got some conflicting comments. My FH's parents are divorced but his mom kept her married name. According to etiquitte, his parents names should be listed one on top of the other without using the word 'and', however, many people said it looked strange or thought it was a typo when I had them look at it. Can you guys tell me what you think looks better? Also, is it ok to put the 'and' on the line w/ my FFIL's name?
Wow..I can def. see what you are saying. I read the invite before reading ur post and wasnt digging the one that didnt have 'and' I voted for adding and..but I can see why your stuck...but sometimes I say, screw etiquitte

Re: INVITATION WORDING-EDITED W/ POLL
I think its just a matter of personal preference - go with whatever you prefer!
As a side note, technically there should be a 'u' in honour - that's the normal spelling for wedding invitations.

definitely with the 'and.' I think it looks funny without the 'and.'
I have seen many invitations just like this. I save all wedding invitations....and I just consulted my collection. All 14 in this situation used the 'and'

I like it with the 'and' better.
I am having the same issue but FH's dad is re-married and his mom isn't and is giving us a hard time about putting 'Mr & Mrs' for his dad.

Well I had the same problem except its my parents who are divorced... so I had a different way of handling it. (The Parents of Nicole BLANK blah blah blah Marrying Michael Blank son of Mrs and Mrs Blank)...
