So my parents are paying for our hall and FMIL is paying for a vendor and a half and we are paying for everything else. How should we word the invites??
I originally was going to do something like this:
Mr. and Mrs Parents of the Bride request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Bride to Groom Son of Mrs. Parent of the Groom
but since FMIL is paying for some things, should I really put it like this:
Mr. and Mrs. Parents of the Bride and Mrs. Parent of the Groom request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their children Bride to Groom

Re: Invitation Wording Question
I think the second one you wrote is better. you dont want her to get upset.

i think that is for when you are paying for as much as the parents are... we did the second way because my parents were paying for most and then his parents are helping...

i misread your original post that said you were paying for the rest of it...even still, it hink i like the second one best, but if your parents are ok with it, you can def do the third one

I think our parents will be insulted if we put our names first since my parents are paying for almost half of the expenses. Maybe I will just give FMIL the sample of the first two and let her decide what she is comfortable with since my parents do not really mind. I would be happy either way.

Re: Invitation Wording Question
Since you would like to list your parents first since they're paying for most of the wedding, I'd use #2.

It goes that way when the bride and the groom are paying for most of the wedding and both sets of parents are chipping in.

Re: Invitation Wording Question
I think the first is fine as shes not paying for or hosting the reception, your parents are, the first one has wording that includes her and thats fine, you dont have to put her name on top, HTH

Re: Invitation Wording Question
I did it the second way, even though FMIL is not contributing. My parents and us are paying.

Re: Invitation Wording Question
I'm having the same dilemma, and I think we will go with either something close to option 2 or option 3. FILs are paying for about half-3/4 of RH and DJ now apparently, my parents paid RH deposit, dress, veil, and will do shower, and FH and I are doing the rest, so almost like a role reversal from yours.
