Does my last name go on the invite, or just my first and middle names? How about FH? Is it his first, middle, and last name? We're also putting son of (groom's parents) on the invite as well as my parents as hosting it.

Re: Invitation wording questions!
we put:
Mr and Mrs James MyLast Name Together with Mr and Mrs George DH's Last name invite you to the marriage of their children
My Name No Last Name and His Name No Last Name
I would only use your last names for your parents, not you.

Re: Invitation wording questions!
i don't think your last name should go on it, but that's my personal opinion and you should do what you want. But, I think (assuming your 'rents are paying for the whole thing) it should read:
Mr. and Mrs. X Request the honor of your presence at the marriage of our daughter first name last name to first name last name son of XXXX
If you put both parents names on top, it signals that both families are paying for it. (Or that's what I'm told is proper etiquette.) And in that case, the brides' family goes first.

Re: Invitation wording questions!
if the parents' last name is already there, imo, there's no need to put the bride and groom's last name on it (unless the last names differ for whatever reason)

This is how we worded ours, and we're paying for everything. In retrospect, I probably should have dropped our last names, but nothing I can do about it now!

Re: Invitation wording questions!
I love verseit.com for writing the invites and Rexcraft Etiquette for how to assemble. Both sites are REALLY helpful.
If you're not including your parents or FH's parents names, then yes, your last names appear. But if your parents and his are being listed (with their last names) then it's your first names only.
