Invitation wording...help!!!

Invitation wording...help!!!

Okay, icky situation for invitation wording:

My father is giving my FH and I $$ as a present for getting married (he suggests we use it for something besides a wedding, but leaves the decision to us), we are choosing to put it towards the reception- the amount he has given us is about 1/3 the cost of the wedding (oh, and my birth mother passed away, and my father and stepmother are divorced, but I am still in contact w. my stepmother, as she was in my life for 8 years)...FH's parents are paying for the rehersal dinner and (maybe?) the honeymoon, so I feel that they should be recognized....

I was thinking of wording it:

Together with their parents,
Ms. __bride______ and Mr.____groom____
request the honour of your presence at their marriage.

Would this be considered correct? I thought it would be the easy way to avoid naming my birth mother (whose family would be offended if I just named my step mother) and my stepmother, who if I named it may be awkward for my father, but at the same time showing that our parents are contributing to our wedding....

AHHHH!!! This is so confusing!!! Help?

Ms.____bride____ and Mr. [____groom___

together with their parents...

does it even matter?

i don't think it matters who goes first. both work just fine. ask your invitation designer. he/she may know.

Re: Invitation wording...help!!!

My wording added the line son of Mr.sand Mrs. FH Parents after his name on the invitation. . .which is a nice way to honor them both, as well as let their side of the guest list know who this wedding is for. . .as I have never really met most of them

good luck though. . .invitations have been, by far, the stickiest situation of the whole wedding process. . .

I just can't WAIT to do table arrangements!!

I think the wording is perfect....you are mentioning both families without having to name names'. I think it works great!

I 'think' and I could be wrong on this...your name goes first. My name was first on out invites. Ours read Bride's name to Grooms names. But you can just check with the printer...they would know for sure.

Thats what we are doing - Together with their parents...

Dad is giving about 1/3 of the cost of the wedding, mom is paying for dress and her guests and FH's parents are covering the DJ and rehearsal dinner

Mom and Dad are divorced, so it would be too much to have all their names on, but we did want to recognize that everyone is helping out where they can.

You don't need to put Ms. and Mr. before your names.

You can do EITHER:

Together with their parents

Jane Mary Smith
and
John Henry Jones

request the honour of your presence....

or

Jane Mary Smith
and
John Henry Jones
together with their parents
request the honour of your presence...

Your name (bride) goes first...but you can put together with their parents before or after-there really isnt an etiquette on that
