When do i need to start looking?

I'm getting married in July too. I picked my invites, but haven't ordered them yet.

I was told to wait until after the new year b/c new items may come in. (august wedding)

I was wondering the same thing. I just got my STD's and now I feel like I have to start thinking about invitations already

I just ordered my invitations and I'm getting married in early May. So, start looking, but you don't need to order them until after the New Year.

I heard the same thing. I will probably order mine in January (Aug wedding) Its always good to get things done early.

We're ordering ours this weekend...a little less than 4 months before the wedding...

Are you getting custom-made ones? If so, I'd start now - 6 months is enough time to go back and forth with changes and printing.

If you're ordering them, at least 4 months in advance.

I'm just starting to look into invites now, my wedding is 5 months away.

I think you have plenty of time.

I'm hoping to order mine in January - assuming I can get a finalized guest count from the FILs

ETA: I want to leave enough time for a few proofs if needed, and sending out for calligraphy for the envelope (if I decide to do it)

I'm in late June and FH and I started looking at some last week. He wants to wait until January to actually order them and we plan on mailing them in mid April.

I just started looking myself (are we always on the same page?)

Nothing serious - ordered some samples, but I'm going to seriously start the process come Jan. I heard that place in Islip is good.
