invitations????

What is an average price for invitations? I was quoted $12.26 per invitation for envelopments being charged $25 per hour to assemble them.... I need 175 made...you Do the math! Is she out of her mind or am I being unrealistic?

SO what is a good price?

Re: invitations????

I was interested in custom made invitations and they were about $28 each so I decided against it but I do think they're beautiful when their custom made and original. Now I'm working with this woman named Harriet who works out of her home. She has all the invitations you find at other card shops but she also customizes invitations-you can choose different papers, the size, where you want the folds and pocket. She works with the printer and creates an invitation for you so it's semi custom made. Let me know if you want her number her prices range but I know she doesn't charge for labor.

Are they gold plating them for you???? hhaha...and since when did manual labor make $25/hour??? I used to make that to DESIGN stuff like invitations!!!!! sounds pretty high...but i am sure if you look around you can get the customized look at a better price.

Re: invitations????

Envelopements are supposed to be really really pricey because they are totally custom. If you can find something premade that you like that will cut down on the cost.

I wanted the envelopments but they are just too pricey for me! They are pretty & different though!

if you are a DIY look up Camacho (06) she did very pretty invitations she has all the instructions in the DIY section....

Re: invitations????

also the envelopements I found out....it depends on how many slices of paper you have on the inside... (how some are layered) if you only have 1 or 2 slices (some people like to put several colors for the wedding themes) that can make the price a little cheaper!

I saw an average of $7.00 + when I was looking...

Re: invitations????

I got mine from einvite.com through the Costco website. They aren't custom made, but they have alot of options and you choose all the fonts, sizing and wording on your own. I was really happy - they came to about $1.60 an invitation (with free shipping!) and i had them 5 days after I ordered them!! Let me know if you want me to send you a picture
Good luck!

I recommend them too! ISpent just a little over $400.00 for 125 invites, response cards, and reception cards AND thank you notes that will match the invites..the price includes tax and shipping. they automatically take off 25% the price that's in the book, so that's a huge savings right there.

they're not custom made, yes, but i think you can do better. invitations and beyond also does custom work and they're soooo nice and helpful and i'm sure can give you a better price.

Re: invitations????

Are you having over 300ppl at your wedding? I know it is a juvenile question but when I started shopping I was looking for 125 invites when in reality I have 125 guests so only 75 invitations.
