I doubt we'll put an earlier time - our church is at 4:00 and I'm sure that's what we'll put on the invites

not sure...the whole thing is that there are guests who even arrive early and im thinking it might be unfair for them if they arrive at places early, meanwhile i gave an earlier time so they have even more to wait. I guess if ppl show up late they show up late, just gotta make sure they have someone who doesnt let them come in while im walking down the aisle lol, guess the DOC can do that
You are so right! I hope nobody would be that inconsiderate to walk in while the bride is walking down the aisle lol geez I can see some people in my own family doing this

Re: INVITATIONS
I was invited to a wedding and apparently they put a buffer time as well. I made it a point to make it to the wedding early. At first we waited outside but it started drizzling so the guests were waiting in the lobby. Especially with a a hall that hosts more than one event it gets a little chaotic! Once we were done with waiting in lobby we got seated in the ceremony room and waited a little more. It wasn't terrible because my friends and I took some pictures beforehand and chatted a bit.
I do not think I will put extra time but again invitations are not on my mind as of yet.

I'm putting down a 1/2 hour earlier that the starting time. My wedding starts at noon and is only a half hour long ... I don't want people straggling in on Asian time!
But my reception hall does put out a small breakfast table before the ceremony, so even if people get there early, they can grab a cup of coffee and something to eat while they wait.
i am doing a 1/2 hour earlier. i am taking into consideration my family running on CP (colored people) time.
besides JT has a wine and cheese room for early guests to relax and they recommended me fudging the time.

Re: INVITATIONS
Would you do this just for the ceremony time (if you're getting married in a church)?
Or would you do it for the reception time too? stating on the invite to come early??
I'm confused..
