So I am just wondering what everyone thinks about not doing an inner envelope for invitations. I feel like it is a waste of paper and I am trying to be environmentally conscious. If I don't do one then do I write & guest on the outer envelope for people I am inviting with a guest? I don't know how to work this out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Invitations
You dont have to do an inner, but in some ways it serves as a protection for invitation too. The US Postal Service can treat mail pretty roughly

Re: Invitations
You don't have to do one. Just put who is invited right on the outer envelope. The inner envelope usually shows that the event is a formal affair. I don't know how formal you are planning. If it is to be formal not having one may cause people to think it is more casual than you were planning though. Just to keep in mind.
